Quran Competition
The annual school-wide Quran competition will be held on Sunday April 19th, 2015. Quran teachers will be communicating with parents and students regarding the details of the competition soon.
Ahkam of Bulugh
Masjid-e-Ali will be hosting a workshop for the youth on Saturday March 28th, 2015 from 11:30AM to 1PM on the rules that pertain to becoming baligh.
Food Drive
Jafaria School will be collecting canned food donations through Sunday April 26th, 2015.

Inauguration Of Masjid-e-Ali Library
The establishment of a full-service library at Masjid-e-Ali has been a goal, several years in the making.
We are pleased to announce that the Masjid-e-Ali library is now open. Books may be checked out and borrowed on a short-term basis.
The library will also be offering books for sale as well.
Use of the library facilities requires membership.
Jafaria School parents and students are all encouraged to become library members.
Book drop-offs and reading in the library ONLY.
Sundays: 10:30AM to 2PM
Mondays: CLOSED
Tuesdays through Saturdays: 4:30PM to 6:30PM
Librarian On Duty Hours
Librarian is on duty on Sundays 10:30AM to 2PM.
Books may only be checked out when a librarian is on duty.

Ready For Mid-Terms?
School-wide Mid-Term exams will be held on Sunday January 25th, 2015. Teachers will be reviewing for the exams with their students this week, and in some cases, will be sending study guides home with students via Engrade.
Parents who have not yet had an opportunity to hold a parent-teacher conference with their child's teacher are highly encouraged to reach out to them as soon as possible.
Doing so will help to ensure that you work with your child to ensure that he or she is prepared for the mid-term.
The mid-term exam is expected to include all material that has been covered since the beginning of the school year until now.
If you expect that your child will be absent on the day of the exam, it is extremely important that you contact your child's teacher ahead of time to let him or her know, so that they will have an opportunity to take a make-up exam the following week. You may also report your child's absence online here.

Because Eid-ul-Adha falls on a Sunday this year, Jafaria School will be closed on October 5th, 2014.
Eid-ul-Adha prayers will be held at Masjid-e-Ali instead.

Now that the school year is underway, and students are getting settled into their classrooms and getting to know their teachers, it's time to make sure a few loose ends are tied up...

2) Receive your new textbooks.
3) Return your abridged handbook acknowledgement forms.
