Punctuality Maximizes Success
In The Classroom

There's an old saying: If you cannot be there on time, then be there early!

School starts at 10:30am sharp.

But it is essential that students are dropped off between 10:20am and 10:25am.

This will give them time to avoid the rush, get settled in, greet their teacher and fellow classmates, and get into a proper learning mindset.

Arriving Late

Arriving late, even by five minutes, can adversely impact the classroom environment in more ways than one:

  • When your child walks into class late, when class is already in session, it is extremely disruptive to other students and to the teacher.
  • Your child will miss out on critical elements of the lesson plan.
  • Your child may find it difficult to settle in and focus, if they distract the class with their late arrival.

Therefore, we ask that all parents plan their mornings to allow extra time for commuting to Jafaria School in the morning.

The rule of thumb is to aim for arriving by 10:25am... This gives the students at least 5 minutes to be dropped off, to head to their classrooms, take off their coats, unpack their bookbags, get a drink of water, and meet and greet the teachers and their fellow students.
