In celebration of the diversity of our school population, Jafaria School will be hosting International Cultural Day on Sunday April 8th. The event will be held from 1:45pm to 2:15pm.
Come enjoy the food, artifacts, clothing, and artwork of each of the various cultures that comprise our community. All Jafaria School family members are welcome to attend. Stop by right after school and partake in this event!
- All students are encouraged to wear the traditional dress from their native cultural origin, in lieu of their school uniforms on Sunday April 8th!
- Parents: Please contact your teachers ASAP if you would like to bring a particular ethnic dish that you would like to share.
- Each culture will have a table setup for it, in the Ladies Hall.
This weekend also coincides with the tradition of the Nazar of Imam Jafar-e-Sadiq (AS). Therefore, we will also be offering nazar in the name of our 6th Imam (AS), combined with this year's International Cultural Day celebration.
"O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that you may know each other. Verily the most honored of you in the sight of Allah is (he who is) the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well acquainted (with all things)." - Holy Quran (49:13)
